events - first aid courses

We run short 2-4 day Homeopathy First Aid attendance courses annually in the UK, US and Canada. These are organised at various times throughout the year please check the time table on the introduction page for dates and locations.

These short 2-4 day Homeopathy First Aid attendance courses will provide an insight into the philosophical background as well as the basic methodology of first-aid and acute prescribing in homeopathy, so that you can use it in everyday situations at home, on the sports field, at work and on holiday – for yourself, your family and friends! You will be able to treat many first aid situations, from childhood fevers, teething troubles, attacks of sickness, ear infections, coughs, flu, diarrhea etc.

Learn how to use quick and effective homeopathic methods to ease first aid symptoms. No prior knowledge of homeopathy or medicine required. The information provided can be used in addition to standard first-aid and accident procedures.

The course is aimed at those who have little or no prior knowledge of homeopathy and its application. We take you through it step-by-step to help you gain the basic understanding that you can apply in everyday situations. Once you have completed this course, you should be able quickly to assess whether and how you can treat particular symptoms yourself, or whether you should seek professional help.

You will be taught an in-depth understanding of 28 Materia Medica remedies. The course is instructed via colourful Power Point presentations, with lively class discussions, DVDs and individual/group case analyses. They are wonderful courses to take if you are genuinely interested in taking care of yourself and your loved ones or if you are thinking of seriously studying homeopathy at a professional level sometime in the future. Those who choose to complete the two written assignments (300 - 500 words) and three case assessments and who successfully pass the tutor-marked assessments, will receive a first aid homeopathic credit certificate from The School of Homeopathy. (Please note that there will be an extra fee for completing this certification process.)

The First Aid Courses are run by tutors from the School of Homeopathy. They are only currently available in the UK and America. If you would like to study First Aid Homeopathy but are not able to make these events then you can do the course via home study with the School’s Homeopathy First Aid Course & Remedy Kit.

Jo Magner

Jo Magner · UK
Jo became aware of homeopathy as a child when her younger sister was treated homeopathically for her very severe eczema. The remedy used made a substantial difference and the family continued to use homeopathy at home. Jo started the homeopathy correspondence course at the School of Homeopathy whilst living abroad and then moved to attendance on her return to the UK. Jo now has a thriving practice in Bath treating patients with a variety of conditions. She also regularly mentors work for the School of Homeopathy correspondence course. Having had the benefit of an excellent tutor whilst she studied on the correspondence course, Jo is delighted to be able to offer help and support to those students embarking on the correspondence course today.

Polly Noakes

Polly Noakes · UK
I trained as a homeopath because I wanted to work with people in a holistic way. I studied at The School of Homeopathy for four years - a fully accredited course run by Misha Norland, an internationally respected homeopath and founder member of the Society of Homeopaths. Alongside my homeopathic training - as part of the course, I studied anatomy, physiology, pathology and disease. I was lucky enough to grow up with homeopathy (my mother was an advocate of it) and likewise so have my children. Seventeen years ago, when my son's severe ear infections failed to resolve it was homeopathy that finally helped it - and his stutter went too! I have lived in the New Forest, near Ringwood for over 10 years and it has very much become my home and community. I am registered with the Society of Homeopaths www.homeopathy-sog.org and I am also a Member of the Academic Faculty of the School of Homeopathy, mentoring/marking students work.
